in memoriam: Andrew Krieger.
Andrew Krieger brought an abundance of talent, laughter, loyalty, and fun to the Fort Mill HS Band. He was an All-State oboe player who also marched snare drum in the fall and performed with our indoor percussion ensemble in the winter. For every season of his time with us, his smile greeted friends, strangers, and parents alike. His friends from Gold Hill MS remained his friends at FMHS, and they were joined by so many others drawn to Andrew’s sense of humor and genuine kindness. The students and staff of the Fort Mill Band extend condolences and love to Andrew’s family, friends, colleagues, and students. Words are insufficient to articulate this loss, but we hope love from many directions and the healing power of music will sustain all of us in the weeks and months ahead.
